Bel Canto Legacy Society

We are grateful to those who remember San Francisco Opera Association through a gift in their will or trust, by beneficiary designation, or through another type of legacy or “planned” gift. Your support strengthens and ensures the future of our company.

When you notify us that you have set up a legacy gift, we will be delighted to welcome you as an important member of our Bel Canto Legacy Society. Every year, we celebrate our patrons’ legacy gifts at several member events, including the Bel Canto Legacy Society Tea, two working rehearsals at the Opera House—usually sitzprobes and staged orchestra rehearsals—and the Opera’s annual state-of-the-company meeting.

Your gift will help the Opera produce world-class productions, train young opera performers and educate local schoolchildren about opera. Your name will be listed in our publications (unless you prefer to be anonymous). When you step forward, others are encouraged to do the same.

Once you name San Francisco Opera Association in a legacy gift, we would welcome a copy of the legal document or section of the document that describes your gift. This can make estate administration easier when your gift is received.
